Many people have asked me why I have not updated my blog. The answer is simple - I have been waiting to see how the product market develops and to see evidence from ‘human’ trials of Resveratrol. Well, I can tell you folks that there are many controlled medical trials underway. Although continuing, last year there were two significant trials one on Diabetes at a major US hospital and the other on students at UK university. This information will be placed on my blog shortly.
What concerns me most is the number of Resveratrol products now on the market. It appears that many ‘companies’ have seen the benefits of getting onto the bandwagon and trading on Resveratrol benefits discovered by Dr. Sinclair. In fact, you can buy Resveratrol through MLM organisations. However, just look at the ingredients and you will find Resveratrol in small amounts, but also with other ingredients to bulk-up the capsules. Without bio-availability these products are of little benefit and in effect ‘confusing’ the public. So my advise is READ the label (ingredients) and if it does not tell you how much Resveratrol is in the capsule - ask the supplier. You need a minimum of 1000mg of pure Trans-Resveratrol (see information about how much to take in this blog), to obtain the benefits shown by Dr. Sinclair in his studies. Most importantly if you are taking medication you should check with your doctor that it is okay to take with your current medication. More shortly.
